APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Requirements to apply:

Be 12 or over. A parent’s signature  is required for applicants between the ages of 12-18. Have a dream to pursue, a problem to solve, a wish to make come true, or a need to fulfill. 

Understand and be able to explain the concept of “paying it forward” by looking it up online, reading the book or watching the movie Pay It Forward. You can define it to the representative of ALEx when they contact you to confirm your application.

You must be willing to “pay it forward” to another person, family, or group. That means you explain the purpose of ALEx, help them apply, and share 5% of your ALEx grant with them.

Be willing to consider sharing photos of your project and any news of your progress or roadblocks.

ALEx is all about dreaming, trying your best, making needed adjustments and watching to see what happens. We measure success by your effort, not necessarily by your results.
